17‑DAY ADELAIDE → RED CENTRE → FLINDERS EXPEDITION
DAY 1 — Adelaide Arrival → Barossa Valley
Your adventure begins in Adelaide, where we greet you at the airport and head straight into the beautiful Barossa Valley. The short drive takes you through rolling vineyards and historic townships. After settling into your accommodation, enjoy a relaxed afternoon walk, optional wine tasting, or simply unwind before dinner.
In the evening, we gather for a group meal and a full expedition briefing.
Overnight: Barossa Valley
DAY 2 — Barossa Valley → Remote Outback Lake Region (South of Coober Pedy)
We leave the Barossa behind and begin the long, beautiful transition into the South Australian Outback. The landscape shifts from vineyards to wheat fields, then to open red‑earth plains as we pass Port Augusta and head north along the Stuart Highway.
By late afternoon, we reach a remote lakeside location in the Outback, set near one of the region’s impressive salt lakes. This area offers vast horizons, silence, and some of the clearest night skies in the world — a perfect introduction to the desert environment.
We settle in for the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner, and watch the Milky Way rise over the salt flats.
Overnight: Remote Outback lake region (south of Coober Pedy)
